| Lafarge Signs Binding Agreement with CBMI |

Lafarge has today signed an agreement with Chinese equipment supplier CBMI Co., Ltd. (part of
Sinoma Group) through which CBMI commits to the construction of six turn-key cement plants, to bebuilt before the end of 2010. These plants are part of Lafarge's program to build 45 million tonnes ofnew cement capacity between 2006 and 2010, in order to meet growing construction needs inemerging markets. The agreement represents a total investment of over € 600 million.

Nairobi, Kenya – February 26, 2008 – Bamburi Cement Group has today announced full-year financial results for the period ending December 31, 2007. The group saw its turnover surpass the KShs. 20 Billion mark to reach a record KShs. 22.1 Billion – a 34% percent increase over last year. It also saw its profit after tax hit KShs. 3.8 Billion.
