Bamburi Special wins ISO 9001 – 2000 award

Bamburi Special Products (BSP), a subsidiary of Bamburi Cement manufacturing concrete paving blocks, has been awarded ISO 9001 – 2000. Mr. Tariq Iqbal. The BSP general manager, who received the award from Bureau Veritas Eastern African region chief executive Ravi Mysore said his firm had over the years, adhered to stringent management practices since venturing in the manufacture of concrete paving blocks.

“In the early stages, concrete block paving products were mainly standard both in quality and variety, but today we have developed more innovative and customized products to suit various sectoral needs such as horticulture, non-motorised traffic among others,” Mr. Iqbal said.

The quality certification is awarded to firms that demonstrate world-class quality.
